Co-located with the eMetrics Summit and Predictive Analytics World (PAW), SMX Toronto 2013 will unfold from March 20-21 at the sparkling Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

From 1:30-2:20 p.m., Ferguson will join Zenith Optimedia Head of Search Kerstin Baker-Ash as one of two speakers on the panel, which will be moderated by Find Me Faster President Matt Van Wagner. The session will explore the wide range of ad opportunities Google now presents for advertisers – including ad extensions that expand a standard text ad and provide additional information such as location and social extensions.

Ferguson will also serve as Q&A Moderator on two separate Paid Search Track panels during the day.

The first, entitled “Creating, Testing and Optimizing Ads, or The Best PPC Ad Ever Written,” will run from 11:20 a.m. to 12:20 p.m., and cover all the important tactics and best practices – including keyword selection, topics, types of testing, demographics, interests and marketing – involved in writing the best PPC ads possible. Speakers will include WiderFunnel Founder & CEO Chris Goward, aimClear Online Marketing Account Manager Manny Rivas and DAC Group Digital Strategic Planner Kirsten Weisenburger. Van Wagner will once again moderate.

Later that afternoon, Ferguson will again play a Q&A Moderator role alongside Van Wagner in “Paid Search Advertising In A Multi-Device World”, set to run from 3:30-4:20 p.m. This session features a discussion of the issues marketers face in today’s multi-device, always-on world, as well as strategies and tactics you’ll need to succeed in this ever-evolving climate. Featured speakers will include Goward and Hanapin Marketing Account Director Jeff Allen.

On Day 2 of SMX Toronto 2013, Ferguson will serve as a featured speaker in a Social Media & Canadian Issues Track entitled “Social Sites You Shouldn’t Overlook”. Ferguson will join fellow speakers Takeshi Young, Technical SEO Project Lead for Become Inc., and Firestarter Social Media CEO Michelle Stinson Ross in this session, which explores how lesser-known social media sites such as Pinterest, Instagram and Reddit can be smartly utilized to send you even more traffic and visitors. Debbie Horovitch, Social Media Concierge of Social Sparkle & Shine, will serve as moderator.
